You have to be really moderate in it and keep or maintain the sugar level low. The sugar, fat and the calories can put you more in danger.
Try having a diabetic cookbook and learn a lot from it. You can prepare tasty and indulging recipes from it that surely will give you nutrients that you need without giving harm to yourself.
